Your first visit at Ember Active Performance in Colorado Springs is a one-hour appointment with Dr. Delmi Barrera, DC: a full history, a hands-on assessment and exam, and your first treatment the same day. It costs $180, and you leave with a clear plan for what comes next.
Before you arrive: book online, fill out the intake forms Jane emails you after you book, bring reports from any recent X-rays or MRIs, wear comfortable clothes you can move in, and arrive about 10 minutes early.
During your visit (1 hour): we talk about what's going on, how it started, and what you want to get back to, whether that's tennis, golf, the gym, or everyday life. Then an assessment and exam (movement, strength, and orthopedic and neurological testing) to find where the problem is coming from. Treatment is based on what the exam shows and may include adjustments, dry needling, and soft-tissue work like Active Release Techniques, cupping, or instrument-assisted scraping. You leave with your plan: what we found, how many visits we expect it to take, exercises to do at home, and your next appointment.
After your visit: some people feel mild soreness for a day or two, similar to after a workout. Follow-up visits are 25 minutes and $95, and packages lower the price per visit.
