Modern care for active bodies.

We combine hands-on chiropractic with modern soft-tissue and rehab techniques, matched to what's going on with your body. The goal is to identify the root cause, treat it, and get you back to what you love.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Precise, targeted adjustments to restore motion where you're stiff, stuck, or compensating. Better joint movement takes pressure off everything around it — often the fastest way to unlock pain that's been nagging for weeks.

Good for: back and neck stiffness, restricted movement, joints that feel "locked up."

Active Release Techniques (ART)

Hands-on release for tight, overworked muscles and the scar tissue that builds up in them. I move the tissue through its range while applying targeted pressure — freeing up muscles that are quietly limiting how you move and perform.

Good for: overuse injuries, tight hips and shoulders, that restricted feeling in your swing or stride.

Dry Needling

A thin needle into the deep muscle knots that massage can't reach — releasing trigger points, calming pain, and switching movement back on. Quick, precise, and effective for stubborn tension that won't let go.

Good for: deep muscle knots, chronic tightness, pain that keeps returning to the same spot.

Spinal Decompression

Gentle, controlled traction that relieves pressure on compressed discs and nerves — often the real source of stubborn back and neck pain, and the sciatica that comes with it. A non-invasive option before anyone starts talking injections or surgery.

Good for: disc-related back and neck pain, sciatica, nerve pain radiating into a limb.

Cupping & scraping (IASTM)

Two tools for the same job: loosening tight tissue and breaking up the adhesions that restrict movement. Cupping lifts and decompresses the tissue; scraping works across it. Together they help you move more freely and recover faster.

Good for: tight fascia, muscle recovery, restricted range after an old injury.

Rehabilitation

The part that makes it last. Once you're moving better, targeted exercise rebuilds the strength and control that keep the problem from coming back — so you're not treating the same injury again in three months. Relief gets you comfortable; rehab keeps you that way.

Good for: preventing re-injury, building lasting strength, returning to sport with confidence.

Shockwave Therapy

Focused acoustic waves delivered to stubborn injuries to break up scar tissue and calcium deposits, boost blood flow, and restart the body's repair process. Used within your session when it's the right tool — especially for problems that have stalled out.

Good for: tendon pain (elbow, shoulder, Achilles), plantar fasciitis, calcific tendinitis, old injuries with built-up scar tissue.

What to Expect at Your First Visit.

Your first visit is a full hour one-on-one session where we take the time to understand what's going on, treat you that same day, and leave you with a clear plan.

Part 1

Understand your body

We start with your story: what hurts, what you're trying to get back to, and what you've already tried. No rushing.

Part 2

Functional Assessment

A thorough movement and hands-on assessment to find the root cause - then treatment the same visit, so you leave having actually started.

Part 3

Personalized Recommendations

If it's the right fit, we’ll walk you through clear recommendations and a recovery plan tailored to your goals and lifestyle.

Not sure what you need?
That's what the first visit is for.

You don't just pick services off a list, that's determined by your functional assessment. After a thorough first-visit, I combine the right techniques into a plan built around your goals, your sport, and your timeline. Some people need hands-on release and adjusting; others need decompression and rehab. The combination is what makes it work.

FAQ's

Is chiropractic treatment safe?

Yes. Chiropractic care is safe when it’s tailored to the individual and delivered by a qualified professional. During your initial consultation, we carefully assess for any potential contraindications and design your care accordingly. Your safety and comfort are always our priority.

Does chiropractic treatment hurt?

No, a Chiropractic adjustment should not be painful at all. Techniques are always adapted to your body and preferences, and nothing is done without your consent. Some mild soreness can occasionally occur, similar to after exercise, but this usually settles quickly.

Can I have chiropractic care after spinal surgery?

Yes, in many cases, chiropractic care is still appropriate after spinal surgery. We always avoid surgically modified areas and carry out a thorough assessment before beginning care. If surgery has led to compensation or strain in other areas of the spine, these may become the focus of your care.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, you’re very welcome to bring someone with you if it helps you feel more comfortable. We can also provide a professional chaperone upon request.

What is the cracking noise?

The cracking sound is caused by a small release of gas within the joint as it moves, similar to cracking your knuckles. Some adjustments are completely quiet, and the sound itself isn’t linked to the effectiveness of treatment.

Do I need to remove any clothing for my appointment?

No, for routine adjustments you will not need to remove clothing apart from coats, belts and shoes. However it may be more comfortable to be in loose fitting clothes. For your Initial Consultation, tighter, gym type clothing is ideal to help with the accuracy of the posture assessment. If any adjustment to clothing is needed to examine an area, this will always be discussed with you first and handled respectfully.

Do I need an X-ray or MRI?

This is assessed on a case-by-case basis but routinely most of the people that come to see us do not require either to start care. If imaging is ever appropriate, we will discuss this with you and refer you to the relevant specialist.

Do you take insurance?

No, we're a cash-pay practice, and that's by design. Insurance often limits how long your visits are, how many you get, and which treatments are "covered." Without it, your care is built around what your body needs, not what a
plan will pay for: a full-hour first visit, one-on-one time with Dr. Barrera, and a plan built around your goals.

What does care cost?

Pricing is simple and shared upfront - no deductibles, copays, or surprise bills.Your first visit is $180. Package options lower your
per-visit cost if you need more than a few sessions.

Can I get reimbursed by my insurance?

Possibly. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, ask us for a superbill — an itemized receipt with the diagnosis
and treatment codes insurers require. You submit it to your insurer, and any reimbursement is paid directly to you.
Coverage varies by plan, so call your insurer and ask about out-of-network chiropractic benefits.

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes. HSA and FSA cards work just like a regular card here. Chiropractic care is generally an eligible expense;
check with your plan administrator if you're unsure.
